Seems to me that they have all the info to do a registry on the form we fill out now. Why is this any different?

It is my understanding that the current form has the firearm information and the purchaser's information on separate pages, while the proposed form has them on the same page. While this form is kept at the dealer, there are stories that seem to be credible of ATF agents photographing the forms while doing inspections. Having both bits of information on the same page would make it a lot easier to connect the two.
