A friend has been using the fireformed 6-Dasher variant of the 6br for ages, lots of coyotes and deer die very instant deaths, he dropped a big body whitetail buck at 500-550 meters as if hit by lightning with 105 berger or a-max some time ago, thing shoots groups at 1000 that most can't do at 500, i believe he's running closer to 3000 fps, maybe now 2950 from a 26" tube? These little short fats with the high bc/sd heavy for cal options are incredibly efficient. I just see the 6.5 Grendel as more efficient especially in 2 areas, volume shooting, not sure you can wear the Grendel out, the 6-arc and br/dashers running higher velocities and pressures for the reloaders and the br/dashers for sure. And the 2nd is for hunting(including big game), most of which lands well under 500 yards and the added bullet weight/diameter while retaining more than enough impact velocity with sd and bullet construction for game intended...makes the Grendel so close to the Creedmoor in efficiency. The nod going to the Creedmoor as king as it's higher sd's cross over to 3rd class game (elk/moose) well into the range of acceptable where the Grendel sd's is just at the front edge of acceptable sd's for 3rd glass game. The faster 6mm's end up with less efficiency as they carry way more velocity than needed to much further than where hunting ranges are long done. So while the sd is there, the bullet weight/front diameter isn't, and they are going too fast to really take advantage of the rapid expansion properties of match bullets etc. in those normal hunting distances. This is where the Grendel just excels with any bullet choices, as it's slowed things down perfectly for eld-m etc. to do perfect work on game in normal hunting distances.
