First picture on the forum. Hope it works.
Picking a trigger and stock. Would like the JP silent capture, but am still researching. Its an 18 Odin Works barrel, intermediate gas length (11-12). Torn between the Odin Zulu 2.0 and the DD butt stock.

Thanks guys, sincerely. On one hand I didnt want it to blend in, on the other, shiny is pretty counter intuitive. Still torn on it. Love those Seekins curves though.

I love the unique rifle that sticks out in the crowd. You have good eyes, that looks really snazzy. I personally don't care much for the "normalcy camouflage" of all black, but at the same time, it does have some classic appeal. All of my built ar's have a bit of mixed FDE/black so they are all mine/easy to identify in a crowd. I like your progress so far, list your build when done, will ya?

Compromised on a DD stock. Stuck to my guns (badabing) and bought the Elftmann trigger and Cryptic Coatings BCG though!

Only thing that could make that better would be to color match the stock and trigger to the rest of the orange. Otherwise, looks good. Progress!

I may settle for the 1x6 from Primary Arms though.

Motivated by a day at the range with family, I found a reputable local smith who competes himself and builds custom ARs for accuracy. I dropped my upper off today to have the barrel mounted; lapped, friction fit and seated with 620. Excited to break it in soon! Have done some color fill for giggles.

Best be careful with the orange, burnt orange would be OK. Penitentiary orange and it'll never run on Saturdays.

First shots today! Shes learning to be a gun now, instead of a bunch of metal parts. Couldnt wait, and shot without sights. Ten rounds, cleaning the barrel between each. First four didnt eject and the fifth was a partial before I found the sweet spot. I gave it half a turn more for good measure. The rest of a box cycled smooth. Love the adjustable gas block. Cant wait to actually sight it in.
My gunsmith told me that the potential for accuracy improves as the gun wears in. Hadnt heard that before. I would have figured the opposite was true.

Your barrel should get a bit more precise as fired rounds lap the barrel.
