This is the only cartridge besides the Grendel that interests me (I tried my hand at designing a 6mm Grendel starting in 2017), so I'm gonna do it as soon as I feel confident Hornady's gonna do factory ammo. The cat's kind of out of the bag we've seen the SAAMI print, we've seen the photo of the headstamp so I don't know what they're waiting for.
My guess is that since they were unable to announce it at the NRA Annual Meeting, and now with the public distracted by Covid-19, they'll wait until SHOT Show 2021, cuz everyone likes to have some big announcement. On the other hand, companies have more and more been making their next year's product announcements in November or even October.
But it's too early to commit a lot of capital until we hear something, anything, from Hornady themselves.

I was at a Chinese restaurant today and cracked open my fortune cookie to find this message on a little white slip of paper: 6.5 Grendel is hunting cartridge with target capability. 6mmARC is target cartridge with hunting capability.

The more innovations that happen in this family, the better calibers will come out of it.
They certainly did a good job with the 6.5 Creed then the PRC and the 6mm Creed... well-designed and purposeful.

I shoot my 6.5G more than my 6.5x55, this would have me shooting my .243 less. Now I just need to be able to use the range again to finish my .243 load development.

Agree. The designs of 65CM, 6CM, 65PRC, and 300PRC are ... inspirational. I kinda wish I NEEDED them and the slightly increased recoil. But, I'm still lovin' the Grendel to death, and am gonna also love the 6mmARC.
We are FAR from tapping out the potential of the 6.5 Grendel. I KNOW we can get a 6.5mm 120gr HPBT with 0.740 hybrid ogive, 0.290 bearing surface, and 0.240 boattail with a 0.595 G1 BC at 2510 fps all with the boattail seated at the neck/shoulder. Ran it through bullet design software and that's what it says. All this focus on heavy 6.5mms leaves the untapped potential of the 120gr class and below ready to be exploited.
You guys know of any boutique bullet makers ready for this project? Trust me, they're very hard to find.

Bft, isn't CBB sort of in your boat of boutique mfr? Why not see if they have some interest...
On second thought, they might not want to since they are more like an LFP maker and I think you're talking cup/core.
Here is a website, note that many are hard cast makers, and couple of links are broekn, but I looked at a couple and maybe someone on here is worth talking to.
Berry's makes plated but look to be mostly handgun bullets... maybe they want to expand?

CBB has a fine product, but, yes, they are LFP and I'm talking cup/core (although if I can get a C/C version made, I'd probably also do an identical LFP).

Have tried Vapor Trail. Would love to work with them but they're crazy busy selling what they already have and would be looking at 250,000 minimum quantity.
Might approach Precision Ballistics again. Seems they're finally all caught up....
Still awaiting response from Bison Ballistics, but I suspect they're only focused on their proprietary design.
Tired of bugging Hornady, Sierra, Berger, Nosler. "Thank you for your comment, blah, blah, blah....." They get a million "suggestions" a day....

Another thought.... maybe try to talk directly to larry potterfield at Midway?
They Know Hornady pretty well I'm sure, who is behind the new chamber, maybe they have some ideas of where to go to get some traction on bullets? Heck they might even team up with you on it... after all they would get first dibs on selling the bullets/ ammo! And they have some good connections in the supplier/mfr communities.
Anyway just another thought.

Not sure about Hawke and the bullets but it might be worth a try. Love their bullets for the 38-55 and 375 Win.

I work in defense, not remotely anything related to small arms or consumers, if that's what you're getting at. Lol.
You'd hope that if I worked for a related gun company I'd have better info than just what I saw in discussion on other forums.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed that part, maybe the reamers are from a custom order someone made and vary slightly from the SAAMI dimension?
The first link is what was posted in SH, but appears to be some kind of internal posting, not really meant for sales. The second link is what I found in the reamer section and seems more front end.
