    120 Match King, not a 123.

Any load hitting about 90% of max using a powder that is in a loading manual.

If all else fails, 28 - 30 grains of 2520; 28 grains of TAC, 8208, and 2460. I think I also used 28 or so of H-335 but can't remember. If you want to use BLC-2, maybe 30 grains? All loads were within loading manual standards.

The bullet is extremely forgiving for loads and jump. To me, if you can't get 3/4 minute out of it without having to mess with loads and lengths, something is wrong with your gear or your ability needs work.

I seated them so the tips had some clearance in the magazine and there were no rifling marks on the ogive when chambered and extracted.

Very forgiving in terms of COAL.

          Popeye:

I am pretty confident you would get the same result with 27 1/2 grains of 8208 too. I wouldn't go much over 28 grains of 8208 with it due to pressure issues.

You will see the same results with the other powders I mentioned. Doesn't necessarily have to be those exact loads either.

I compare the 120 Sierra to the 168 Match King from a .308 in terms of consistent performance with almost any reasonable load.

Super results to 300. OK at 500 but you got to stay on the winds. At 600, if you see any mirage running left or right, just do yourself a favor and put at least 1/2 minute on the rifle.

Bill Waites and I shot it to 800 but if you do so, use a minute per MPH of full value. If you want to shoot it past 800, you will be wasting your money unless you are at a elevation above about 5K feet, and the temp is warm.

I loaded 28.0 with the Lapua it was safe in the first test round. Brass was clean primers fine. I loaded 3 different seating depths since 2.265 had already been done. Went 2.260,2.255,2.250 that's not the actual OAL I went off the ogive measurement 0005 at a time. Loaded ARcomp also try em out tomorrow I hope. I have gone up to 28.5 and starting seeing light ejector swipes so I backed off. 123 SST"s are loaded with 28.3 and are staying right at 1 MOA those are my hog loads. They chrono at 2525 and I think about 11SD. I will chrono the Lapua tomorrow. Thank you for the info and the wind dope.
