The 120 gold dot is bonded and shoots great with 3 barrels.
They are my deer bullet with 27.6gr of 8208.
The SST really never was consistent out of all 3 barrels and different powders.
The elds shot very good but the price of the 120 gold dots help.
For accuracy I am liking the 120 barnes match burners and pricing with midway birthday deal makes me smile.

I also have had great accuracy with the 120 Gold Dot with 28 grs. IMR 8208, Hornady case, CCI 450 with a medium Lee Factory Crimp. Off the top of my head I can't remember the COAL but it is as long as can be loaded in ASC/Stoner magazines. It is too long to work in Elander mages. I have only shot one deer with this bullet but it did an AWESOME job.

Bought 20 boxes
I had great accuracy .52-.59 MOA with Alliant Power Pro 2000-MR but velocity is lower than what I wanted
Does anyone have any velocity number and barrel length for IMR 8208 load?

I have a 20" Faxon Match, but only getting 2463fps with a max compressed load of Alliant Power Pro 2000-MR. Looking for a faster Grendel hunting load, already use IMR 8208 (7mm-08) and CFE223 (223) with other rifles.
Has anyone tried CFE223 with the Speer 120gr Gold Dot?

I did a little a few months ago, using CFE for both the gold dot and the 120 pro hunter.
I'll see if I can find the thread.....
Here it is, using my 20" Howa HB:
Of course start low and work up, these loads were safe in my rifle IDK about yours...
First results with 120's (pro hunter and gold dot) and CFE
I took some CFE223 powder and worked up 2 ladders, for the 120 pro hunter and the 120 gold dot.
I used a range of 30.8-31.0, 31.2, 31.4 for both bullets, using Hornday 1x brass and cci450's.
This is all for my howa 20" HB, and I had tested OAL's for both bullets, the pro hunters look to go 2.240, the Gold dots 2.340.
The pro hunters I seated at 2.215" and gold dots 2.240 (I had used this before with a few GD's I shot).
Each powder charge was for 3 rounds, mostly to see where I was regarding MV's out of this barrel.
I didn't see much in way of data compilations on the forum for either (my search-fu I guess may be lazy! lol!).
120 Pro Hunter
30.8: Avg 2510, sd 11.
31.0: Avg 2518, sd 10
31.2: Avg 2537, sd 7
31.4: Avg 2540, sd 13
120 Gold Dot:
30.8: 2477, sd 15
31.0: 2465, sd 30 (this one had a 2430 - really low for some reason)
31.2: 2497, sd 18
31.4: 2522, sd 14"Down the floor, out the door, Go Brandon Go!!!!!"

What brand of 20" barrel you have?
BCA 20" SS barrel. My Oden Works 18" will do right at 2500 fps with the same load. Even through the Gold Dot shoots great in both rifles I have the 18" Oden set up to shoot 120 Sierra Pro Hunters with 28.5 grs IMR 8208, Hornady case, CCI 450 and it does 2550 fps on average and 1/2 MOA.
