was another load, Forum wouldn't let me make a new thread but allowed me to post a reply. Load was 29.5 grains of 2520 in 18" Satern Barrel, didnt shoot on Paper, was to break in. Seemed like I shouldn't have had signs that low but I guess it likes conservative loads. Will load again and run over a Chrono. Dont worry, changing powder to CFE223.

funny thing, I was trying to duplicate the AA loads and used their load info. I had loads made up to their 30.7 max but when I saw that, I backed off and packed up the hotter ones and ended up pulling them and saving the components. Didn't feel right either, the bolt speed felt way too fast for my setup. I'm running a Satern 18" with Mid gas system, a wolff XH buffer spring, a Heavy Buffers Xtra Heavy rifle length Buffer and a rifle length buffer tube. I have shot probably close to 200 M-16, M4 and AR's including the Beo's and a 500 S&W Prototype, this one felt too fast for what it was, I think your right. I like to run a Mid length gas with a rifle buffer/spring/tube because It makes it seem softer in the recoil because of the dwell of the long buffer.

Alexander Arms load data isn't good for AA2520 notice they don't have velocities. With 2520 you can get the velocities that others are getting with a gr less of powder.
