first and only three groups of factory 123 SST I shot from my new odin barrel after a box of Wolf were .750 .825 and .750 respectively at 100 yards. Looking forward to some load development to see how much better I can do. Great barrel based on my limited sample

The way I struggle with this is:
Type 1=.125 bolt face depth or you are running a x39 bolt in your Grendel
Type 2 = .136 bolt face depth you are running a 6.5 Grendel bolt.Knowing everthing isnt as important as knowing where to find it.

With a 20" 6.5 Grendel barrel I don't think you need an adjustable gas block unless your running a suppressor. I put a JP adjustable gas block on my 20" Shilen. I adjusted the gas to where the bolt locks back on the last round. I don't have a suppressor and haven't needed to adjust the gas since installation. I've run a few hand loads and factory loads and it has functioned fine. It is nice to adjust the gas to help smooth out the action but the 6.5 Grendel has very mild recoil. If I build another 20" 6.5 Grendel I probably won't use an adjustable gas block. Suppressors are still a no no where I live.

Recoil is pretty sharp with a can and the buffer bottoming out. The feed issues are also annoying. Adjustable gas block goes in Friday. Without the can, my 18" odin works seemed a little overgassed, no function issues, but really tossing brass, to the point of denting some cases.

I was planning on going with the AA 16" Fluted barrel.
