Why not go straight to Ruger? https://www.ruger.com/products/ameri...ets/26922.html

And they just introduced a left-hand Predator in 6.5C. https://www.ruger.com/products/ameri...ets/16977.html

Randy, that is what jackwagon said he did.

“When I went to Ruger it had a buy it now that linked me to Gallery of guns, who of course said out of stock.“

        Same result for me.

I went to Ruger's website and filled out the comment form asking if they are using a SAAMI chamber for these. They emailed me back, and I've attached a screen grab below.

Kind of a screw you for asking note! On another note many were whining about wanting a magazine that is flush or near flush with the stock so it would make one handed carry easier. I don't see AR style magazines offering that.

Interesting. I just filled out the comment form asking if my RPR uses a 6.5 Creedmoor SAAMI spec chamber ; ) I'll report back.

I was referring to the post directly above mine that listed the rifle with a 16" barrel. I should have quoted it.

You would think if Ruger was concerned about liability issues if they used the 6.5 Grendel name which accepts SAAMI spec 6.5 Grendel ammo it should have a SAAMI spec chamber. It was my understanding if you used 6.5 Grendel name your product should meet SAAMI Spec.

I know AA released the copy right/patent for 6.5 Grendel name and specification after SAAMI acceptence of 6.5 Gredel and Hornady submitted 6.5 Grendel ammo.

It'll be interesting to see Ruger's response to the 6.5 CM question.

I take Ruger's response with a grain of salt. In my experience, ask three first-tier CSRs the same question and you'll get four different answers.

If that really is Ruger's corporate policy, then, yes, I find it strange, even annoying. Maybe they have good reasons for it. They've been in the gun business a while. . . .

No doubt their super secret 6.5 Grendel chamber design is hidden with the Original Coca-Cola formula in a well-guarded bunker 100 feet below Fort Knox.

I just spoke with a friend who just spoke to the Ruger rep at SHOT. The mags are standard AR mags with Grendel-specific followers. So we know the magazine will be the determining factor for COAL. The mag well is incorporated into the stock, no separate bottom metal/plastic. Apparently there will be some minor changes made later this year, but he didn't provide any details. He's also mailing me a 2018 catalog.

                          Thanks, Dinny

That to me says, "I personally don't know and I don't want to bother asking around to find out".
