I have a traditional 3X pistol scope on the way, so I'll be able to get a better accuracy read than with the red-dot.

Keep the information coming, weagle. What a great trunk gun; portable and powerful.

I got my MagnetoSpeed working. Sensor was too far away from the bore due to the barrel thickness. Once I swapped to the small spacer it worked great.

Factory Hornady 123 SST average velocity 2370 fps (10 shots)
Handloaded 123 SST max load IMR 8208 XBR 2430 fps (5 shots)

All my shooting was rather hasty because I was short on time and wanted to get some velocity readings. Even with the MagnetoSpeed attached and taking not so careful aim both loads were grouping around 2" at 100 yds. The handload group was about 3" up and right from the factory group.

I think with a good rest either load will be very accurate. Next time I won't fool with the chrony and just see what sort of groups I can shoot.

Just based on my results so far I have no doubt this will be a fine hunting pistol.

The Bergara barrel makes this CVA is "steal" in any caliber ... I use my Grendel's to shoot, and I do shoot long.. for Hunting if your a solid shooter you will be fine ... but a body hit with Grendel will usually be a thru-n-thru rather than a knock-down

If you "shoot" a couple of things that can make a Big Difference..

                  1) Talley Aluminum Rail - to replace ABS rail : https://www.talleymanufacturing.com/...icatinny-rail/

                  2) Farrow AR Buffer Tube Adapter w/Shockwave Blade & Buffer Tube : https://farrow.tech/cva-scout-pistol...-tube-adapter/

                  3) Shop for the Best Glass you can afford - right now Riton X7 Tactix 1-8x28 for out to 300Yds would be one of the good choices:
Bereli.com has the best deals on the web for ammunition, firearms, tactical gear & more. We offer free shipping on all orders, even guns & ammo!

Over 300yds - I fit up my Nikon Black Force - a bit of overkill but heck one heck-of-scope

                  4) Form1 Titanium 4"-10" Modular Suppressor - I run 6" config to tone it down - 6" on this modular gives a good balance to the Brace-Scout-Optic combo

Haven't shot it yet. Next weekend I'll test it out.

How does this not turn into a SBR? This looks awesome but want to stay legal.

It is illegal to put a shoulder stock on a pistol. This pistol wears an arm brace. This article explains it much better than I can. https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/blo...re-they-legal/

It's comfortable, but I would prefer the fatter design like the factory grip just minus the finger grooves.

One issue is I installed a single point sling adapter that will need to be modified. It sticks down and interferes with getting a comfortable grip. It will be an easy mod. Just bend the attachment point back so it is almost flush to the tube.

Got to shoot it a little today and I'm happy. 4 shots to zero the scope then this 3 shot group at 100ds. Same load as my bolt action Howa mini. right at Max load of 8208 XBR and 123gr SST. Had those first 2 shots touching then I called the one I tweaked to the left.
