Yes,I do have this cat tanned and the skull bleached.
When I dropped the salted hide off at the tanning place the old guy,Tony, asked me to spread it out on the floor.His first comment was "wow that's a big cat".
The hide is now beautifully tanned and is spread out on our upstairs balcony railing looking down to the main house.I still receive nice comments from visitors.

Nice, I want a lion bad got a bobcat few years back with my XP-100 7mm BR pistol when I was bear hunting. Did a life size mount wife was pissed but hey she got over it lol.

Mountain lion is mostly white meat, not far off from pork. You have to cook it well to kill the trichinosis.

In answer to is it good to eat..yes, indeed! I killed one while deer hunting here in Idaho last fall and took some steak to the
Cola Warrior Northwest and fried it up for the guys. They remarked how good it was, most wanted seconds.
