    Build the Gun, Check!
    Well after 10 builds in three different calibers, lessons learned, and advice garnered from the Horde, I present my version of the ultimate AR. I was shooting for 6LBS before optics and ended up at 6LBS 4OZ and weighs in at 8LBS 7OZ with optics and bipod. Very balanced to carry and fire freehand. Only foreseeable change would


    Make the Ammo, Check!
    129 SST, AR Comp 26.6 Grains, Hornady 1X Fired Brass, CCI 450 Primer, 2375 FPS, 0.75 MOA

    Harvest the Animal! Sika Doe, 85 Yard Shot, Full penetration no recovery, Double Lung, Ran 25 yards then Piled Up. High Fence in the Texas Hill Country...really wanted to try the meat.

            Fed the family last night. Had Sika carpaccio from the the small end of the back strap. Sika is VERY tasty. My 7 year old daughter asked for it again tonight... Couldn't say no.

            Mixed all the trim meat with the point of a brisket, 80% Sika 20% brisket. Should be a tasty burger.
