Made a deal with wife to get a suppressor - just don't know which one

I would like to keep cost at around $1000. I will be running it mainly on my 12.7" for hunting purposes but will be using it also on my 18" and 16" Grendel's.

I would like it to be as light weight as possible since that is why I built the 12.7.

On average I am targeting the DB reduction by about 30 decibels if possible.

Looking for suggestions. I am focused on using Silencer shop since I really like the kiosk idea.

TBAC ultra 5 or ultra 7. check them out.
I would also recommend getting a good firearm trust atty, I thought about the kiosk/single trust but an atty is about the same $$ and it's much more flexible for you. Ask around some of the ffl dealers for atty's they know and use. The place I went has a kiosk in-house and the atty is known for doing it so it all works first time every time. they did the whole thing, pics, prints, appl, everything right there. so far so good.

I have the tbac ultra 7 and really like it. I did my own trust and still used the kiosk from Silencer shop. You just email them your trust.

I have been leaning twords the Ultra 7. I have a good friend who is uses the Sig suppressors and they really do work very well. I wonder if the Ultra series will go on sale for the black friday sale? Silencer shop is current out of the Ultra 7's.

I watched thunder beast for a long time before i bought. The only sale i have ever seen them do is their annual group buy which is 10%off and they just did it last month. Silencer shop might do their own sales but from factory you might have just missed it.

            Hunting with 12.7"

I would look at the Ultra 7.

For your 18", if it's MLGS, I probably wouldn't suppress it. RLGS or ILGS is the way to go on 18" Grendels, as well as 5.56/.223 Wylde. Plug dwell time is already pushing it with MLGS 18" unsuppressed.

Vote here is for the Omega, it's light and titanium. I removed the brake and installed the flat plate to shorten it on my 12.7" and I use it on everything I own grendel wise.

What about with an adjustable gas block?

My odin works is an 18" DMR heavy profile, intermediate. It is more of a target setup and suppressing it would be a great option but not mandatory. I currently am running an adjustable GB.

I have to be honest, I don't know much about the effects of carbine vs rifle vs intermediant relative to suppressed setups. What would make this setup run with a suppressor?

Prolongs the inevitable maybe a few hundred rounds even with the correct port.

There's a reason why Crane went RLGS on the SPR, and why SOCOM has had so many problems with bolts breaking on suppressed M4A1s and Mk.18s.

Thanks for the reply. What are some of the barrel lengths and gas systems that you do recommend for suppressed Grendel shooting?
