hey sticks i have a question, what is the lag in image?
i mean it says "camera" but it practically is just very laggy, correct?

which shouldnt be a problem for shooting application since you are looking at a standing target.

can you approximate the lag in seconds? roughly?

do you guys really *need* video for such application? or you would be ok with just Hi-res camera which for example...updates 1 image per second? just curious

Three different refresh rates on the camera that you can select. Lag time...well...I have not shot a target and watched the screen. I know when I am adjusting the camera on the target there some lag, and it can get annoying but in reality it is probably less than a second between the camera and phone getting the image up. I don't think that the range to target adds to the lag time significantly. About the same lag as my multirotor camera has to the controller.

If there's an autofocus could some of the lag be b/c of that, I wonder...
lots of smartphone-era cams have that going for them, this could be similar.

Fixed focus. There is lag from the processor in the unit converting the image to WiFi signal (active LAN) to the phone then the phone converting to image on the screen.

IIRC it's an older 2.4ghz transmitter, relay unit, then the phone...can only process so fast.
