Now that the others have sold I hope you'll set up another 20" buy.
I like all the velocity I can get and this 20" Faxon is lighter than most at just under 2 lbs. It's more than a pound lighter than the BCA heavy barrel I have now.
And yesterday I noticed that Faxon offers a 10% Veteran's discount on their site.
Not being critical but is that scope mount rigid enough? Looks kind of thin and spindly in the pic.
You'd be pleasantly suprised... The AP mounts are rock solid, 10k+ rds down range 5.56 & 6.5G with 0 fails. Spot-on dims (extruded like a handguard) relative to other >$100 mounts, 3 lug lock up, & more than up to the task vs: Grrr recoil. Other than maintaining vertical while tightening rings (kind of a PITA, vertical blinds are a good ref) they get it done, no negatives.
So after putting nearly 100 rounds through my 16” build and loving it, I think I’m ready to rebarrel an unaccurate .223 I have with a 20” Grendel. Any idea when this group buy opens back up?
I also hope it opens up soon...but if you are moving from a 223 to Grendel you need a barrel and a bolt and someone has both this barrel and a GB bolt for sale. http://www.65grendel.com/forum/showt...l-LNIB-GB-Bolt

Did you just not ever clean your rifle? Reason I ask is because the gas block is just as rusted. So that tells me it isn't a problem with the barrel steel are the coating used.
