If you've never had a 14.5" barreled rifle pinned to 16" in your hands you just cannot conceive the difference in feel it is when comparing to similar profiled 16" barrel with a flash hider that generally makes it closer to 17.5/18". I have to 2 to FN barrels in 556 one 14.7 the other 16" and to my hands there is a noticeable difference all the while my brain is telling me it's only an inch and half difference.

I love my 12, 16, and 18 inch grendels. But I want something different and maybe a little wacky... like a stupid short Grendel. 7.5" or 8" with pistol gas? If it has to be carbine gas, then put me down for 10.5Comment
