As a follow up on this buy, I re- found the spec sheet BFT & I made up a few days ago. Of the 50 bbls. he received, I asked him to grab a Random 5 pack sample---- to see what we have .

I'll put the 3 bbls. firstly, that were almost mirrors. Light Contact at rifeling.

Bbl. 1. 120 GMX-- COAL = 2.410 , 123 SMK --- COAL. = 2.396 , 120 Berger Match grade---- Coal. ==2.325

Bbl. 2 Gmx--coal== 2.40 ,123 Smk ---- Coal . = 2.386 , 120 Berger------------------ Coal. ==2.315

Bbl. 3 Gmx--coal. =2.40 ,123 SMK ----- coal. = 2.390 , 120 Berger -----------------Coal == 2.32



I picked the tube that allows me to push my beloved Gmx's out as far as can be- Bbl. 1. They all have a bit more throat length than an AA tube-- no biggie...
shouldn't hear a whiner about a too short throat ! That's great news !



The other 2 were very close, nothing to ponder over, just same as my AA tubes. All is good. All are Long, or perfect sized Sammie.

Boy am I pissed! If you guys are thinking on buying one of the Faxon barrels, don't! They will out shoot your more expensive Grendels.

Yes pissed may not be the right word.

I struggled with installation due to the receiver I used and settled with a non adj gas block.

I started shooting with expectations of 1-1/2" groups (hoping). Light weight barrel went with three shot groups.
Was I surprised.
The first group was my go to Lapua 123 and 8208. I was amazed!
The next group was factory 123 SST and I must have pulled that high one.
The last group was 120 NBT that I can't get to shoot well out of my other Grendel's.
You know, maybe I should run a cleaning rod through the barrel... I just ran out and shot it!
