Except that the Mini Action is smaller than the Short Action. I only know of one bloke doing rails for the Mini Action and he lives down the road from me. LSI really need to get a few thousand knocked up for the release of the Grendel.

Ok, New Years wish/wishes: A group buy from Adam's Bloke friend down the road for mini action 20 MOA rails; but more importantly a group buy for the Howa Mini!?

they are not pretty but you can get pretty good moa adjustments using the burris signature rings and the onset rings you can offset 0 to 40 moa in 5 moa increments the make wherever style rings as well as turn in and double dovetail rings though your limited to 1 inch scope tube for the adjustable ones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcRAX5OLtJE

Putting a set of 20 MOA bases on a Howa Mini will mean your rings are NOT aligned for the scope. I do know that the Talley Ultralights work very well and the LOW size will clear a Bushnell AR scope with the bolt (I didn't think it would, but it does).

Matt, welcome to the horde. I've been playing with the Howa Mini since they were released in Australia and I have one question, two suggestions...

Question. What is the twist rate Howa specified for the Grendel? The Grendel takes the Howa Mini to a whole new level of rifle, seriously challenging the accepted norm. The Grendel in a Howa Mini is a giant killer that needs to throw from the 107/108gn match bullets (1:8 stability) through to about 125/130gn hunting bullets (1:9 stability).

Suggestion 1. Get some other stocks for these actions. Ask High Tech (the mob who do your alpine stock) to modify the Zastava m85 stock to suit a Howa Mini, get Boyds involved, get something other than that plastic stock! The Boyds Tacticool would be deadest awesome for the varmit rifles, but something lighter and trimmer is needed for the utralight hunting rifles suitable for the #1 profile Howa Mini.
Suggestion 2. Work out how to make a standard bottom metal arrangement for this rifle. The detachable magazine is a deal breaker with some older shooters who despise DBM setups.
1- we are more concerned with getting all of the available calibers in house before we venture out into developing another stock. with that said, im sure there will be more stocks available as these rifles gain popularity.

2- we will look into making a standard floor plate for these, but we will have 5 rd and 10 rd mags in stock soon. the new 6.5 grendels come with a 5 rd mag.

Do we have tech specs on the Howa MA 65G?

                1. Hoping it uses 6.5 Grendel SAAMI chamber?
                yes saami spec

                2. What twist rate?
the samples we received are 1-9 twist

                3. Magazine capacity? OK, found it in your 2015 catalog: 10 rounds.
the grendels are 5 rounds stock.

                4. Cartridge OAL allowed by magazine?
my measurement of the mag looks to be 2.30 in

We appreciate all the info! I would definitely be in for at least one rifle in a group buy, or even magazines if that is available. Speaking of, do you know the MSRP of the 5 and 10 round mags?

Unfortunately Howa does not make any left handed models.
